How to Fix an Unresponsive iPhone Due to a Bad Jailbreak Tweak


I. Turn off the iPhone or iPad

1. If it is stuck in a loop hold down the Power and Home buttons and continue to hold them.
2. Release them after the Apple logo appears and then disappears (signifying that the device is off).


II. Disable Cydia Substrate via Safe Mode

1. Turn on the device by holding down Power and Volume Up on the device.
2. Let go of the Power button when the Apple logo appears but continue to hold the Volume Up button until the device fully boots up.

III. Remove the Jailbreak Tweak that Caused the Issue

1. Open Cydia.
2. Tap Manage.
3. Tap Packages.
4. Tap the Jailbreak you think might be the culprit.
5. Tap Modify.
6. Tap Remove.
Repeat Section III for all the jailbreak tweaks you think might be responsible for the device having an issue.
