Update Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware( Galaxy S2)



Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 can now enjoy the features of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and away from the historic Android 2.3 era. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean features Google Now, Project Butter, Lock screen widgets, Actionable Notifications and Quick Settings.

Warning: This is a custom ROM and we are not responsible for any damages which may occur on your device. Read and follow the instructions carefully to avoid damaging your phone. Do this at your own risk.

Requirements:
-          Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830
-          Create a backup of all your personal information and data files. Do not use Samsung Kies to do this.
-          Battery level must be at least 50 percent.
-          Root your Samsung Galaxy Ace before flashing this ROM.
ADVERTISEMENT
-          Enable USB debugging mode. Go to "Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging."
-          Download and install a ROM Manager app from the Play Store to your smartphone.
-          Download the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware to your computer.
Flashing Instructions:
1.      Connect your Samsung Galaxy Ace to your computer using a USB cable.
2.      Copy and paste the firmware you've downloaded earlier to the SD card of your phone.
3.      Disconnect the device and launch the ROM Manager app on your Galaxy Ace.
4.      Select the option to reboot your device into Recovery mode. If the ROM Manager does not reboot, download and install a custom recovery app such as ClockworkMod recovery.
5.      Inside the Recovery mode, create a Nandroid backup of the current ROM. Select "backup and restore > backup." The saved ROM is stored in the SD card and you can restore it anytime.
6.      After the backup, select "wipe data/factory reset" and "wipe cache partition." Then go to "advanced > wipe Dalvik cache."
7.      After the full wipe, install the Android 4.2.2 firmware. Select "install zip from SD card > choose zip from SD card." Choose the Android 4.2.2 custom ROM you've copied on the SD card and confirm installation.
8.      Once the installation has been completed, go back to the main menu of the Recovery mode and select "reboot system now."
9.      The phone will reboot and may take up to 5 minutes to boot on its new ROM.
Congratulations! Your Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 is now running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with root access and customisation options.
